Just a little bunny rattle…

I just finished up a bunny rattle for someone as a baby gift. I think that it turned out darling! I put a little bell inside so it jingles a little :)

Yet another project to do one day…

I couldn’t help myself. I saw the words sale. I saw the cutest fabric that would make the cutest quilt so what did I do? I bought the LOVE U by Deb Strain charm pack to make a baby quilt with. Yes you might think Samantha you are not having a baby nor are you pregnant but one day it will happen again and when it does I will have the cutest tummy time quilt to make :)  I think it will be so bright and cheerful!

I was thinking about this pattern found on Sew, Mama, Sew

Apron!

So I have to blame Diana for my latest obsession. I hadn’t really thought about aprons as being cute. Then I started looking at the oh so many cute aprons there are. Needless to say I ended up buying a pattern and some fabric. Soon I will have a oh so cute apron! I am excited about finally making myself something :) I am just going to have to wait for some of my supplies to arrive from etsy  :(

Here is a peek of what I am putting together! And maybe I will have enough to make a little one for Lorelei to match :)

Easter Bunny…

I finally was able to get a picture of the bunny that I made for Lorelei for Easter. I was hoping to make a skirt for it but ran out of time. I love how the colors worked together!

I followed this tutorial  which was pretty straight forward. I only struggled a few times when I had to sew around it while the arms and legs were inside. I think that it would be easier if it were a little bigger, I actually did cut it a half an inch bigger than the pattern.

Easter Ideas…

I have been wondering about what I should do for Lorelei for Easter. She is still a little young for it all but I still want to make it special for her. I am going to do a little basket up for her and have picked up a few things such as bubbles, a book, and some eggs to fill up with goodies :) I am debating about what homemade project I want to make for her. I have come across some cute tutorials. What do you think?

a Ballet Bunny…but I think I would add arms to the pattern

maybe some carrots for the bunny?

some chocolate bunnies made from felt…

oh if I knew how to crochet I would have loved to make these

too many choices and Easter is coming soon! I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter with their friends and family :)

Summer Ruffle Dress

I had started making this dress months ago for Lorelei. I had bought some fabric napkins on clearance and thought hey I can make a dress out of this. The only thing is that I needed to put a seam down the front. I had a love hate relationship with this seam, I didn’t mind it there but I really didn’t want it there. One day as I was getting lost in blogland I was inspired to make a ruffle for the front of the dress. I actually made two ruffles layered together to hide that hated seam! Yay for ruffles! Now I just need to go find the perfect buttons to complete it before she gets too big to even wear it.

Another reason why I want to learn how to crochet. I found these patterns on etsy yesterday to make these cute kitty cats! I think that they are darling! (click on the pictures to go to the links if you are interested)
