I couldn’t wait I have my post ready and decided to post it early! Are you ready to see the pouch that we have all been waiting for this past week?! Are you ready for a little GIVEAWAY! I am kind of excited but at the same time like all the pouches I make I want to keep it! This pouch was made from a pattern in the Amy Butler’s Style Stitches book. The pattern is called the Origami Pouch. I am impressed that I am actually making pouches from this book, lol. (You can see my other one here) Next I need to make a purse!
Anyhow, I used some beautiful Anna Maria Horner Linen for this pouch that I purchased like the second it was released. It is so soft and pretty! I paired it with the green Michael Miller Stitch Square print.
The lining is a brown text print from the Word Play line.
I really like this pattern and look forward to making some of the different sizes. There are five different sizes in the book. This one is size small. It measures at about 9” at the bottom, 12” at the top and about 3 1/2” wide where it is boxed. PS I forgot to sew on the tab I sure hope you forgive me…
So here it is you lovely people who read my blog or follow me on instagram! I have this pouch with a few other goodies thrown in. There is a couple zips with awesome tabs! An assortment of snaps (the magnetic one was forgotten in the picture.) Some vintage glass buttons! Two fat eighths of Field Study prints. Now you could maybe start on a little pouch of your own!
I also made this darling needle case and included some quilting needles. You can find this pattern on the luvinthemommyhood blog found in her tutorials section here. It even matches your pouch! The inside is a gray wool.
I have really enjoyed making pouches in the past month or so. Thanks for following me on this journey. It is amazing what you can do if you just try! If you find zippers scary, which I did, all you have to do is practice! And trust me once you get it you will be so happy and proud of yourself!
Please only leave one comment per person perhaps tell me about something you are working on?! You don’t have to be following my blog but that would be nice. Comments will close on Friday at 12am PST. I will draw a winner randomly on Saturday June 29th. Good Luck! (Also please leave your email info if you are a non-reply blogger)

Lucky #1!! Love, love that pouch. I resisted all the Field Study goodness (there was Liberty to buy I think) so I am especially covetous! I am working on two quilts that I have to quilt and bind by Saturday. Kind of boring and chore-y! Great giveaway.
I'm working on getting supplies together to learn hand guilting from my Mother.

I am one of those people with zipper phobia. I have made a few purses using button closures or snaps, but not zippers yet. This fear / dislike stems from sewing zippers in clothing many many years ago. All your pouches are great! You are inspiring me to try one soon.
Currently I am in the process of quilting my very first quilt, a baby quilt for my soon to be born granddaughter. Nothing fancy, just big blocks and straight line quilting.
What a fabulous little giveaway - you are very generous. I am working on some small paper piecing projects at present - my first sewing challenge to myself and hand quilting my ruby nine patch quilt. Zips are next. Thanks for the chance
You are SO sweet to share with us, Samantha! I need to finish a throw quilt for my brother-in-law and his wife. I hope you're having a great week!
Wow-that is such a beautiful combo! I'm working on a few quilts and a pile of clothes for my kiddos. Thanks for the chance!
Love those fabrics! I'd be delighted to win your pouch! Most recently, as you know, I was on the Vancouver Modern Quilt Guild's Iron Quilter team and we made a baby quilt from start to finish in two hours!
So cute! My next sewing project is making a storage sleeve (a la Leah Day tutorial using a pool noodle) for my lone star quilt for the move.
Lovely pouch! I've only put a zipper on one thing and that was in a class with a little extra help. It didn't seem hard, but I haven't tried it on my own yet. I'm currently working on a little doll quilt for a friend and an I Spy quilt with HSTs.
What a lovely giveaway! I've been working away at my first zipper pouch and making little origami boxes for up coming Birthdays.
So pretty! I'm making a churn dash quilt with Kate Spain honey honey :)

I love your pouch. It's funny that you mentioned your impressed with the fact that you're actually making things from a book you bought. I think I have yet to do that, lol.
I'm working on a TON right now, but the one on the 'front burner' is this Mystery Quilt I started last summer with my guild. I should've finished it last summer, like most of the other ladies, but alas it is still in the works.
Pretty pouch! Right now I am working on a sewing machine cover. I hope to get it done soon so I can get my sewing room clean (which doubles as a spare bedroom)since my sister and her husband and kiddos are coming to visit!
I was just thinking of you yesterday!
I can't wait to start working on some quilts, I keep thinking of the gorgeous quilts that you have made for the girls.
This pouch is awesome by the way!
Hey, how fauna nd this bag sounds ginormous (from the girl who is a novice at making them)! The colors are sew pretty and all the fun goodies....how awesome! Thanks for letting me in on the fun and truly, your basket is just the coolest thing since ice cold lemonade on a hot, summer day!
You're becoming quite the pouch expert! So sweet and cute fabric (and I'm sure you saw the new Stof-UNO rainy-themed fabric - nice!)! What am I working on?? Do you mean, in my imagination??? Ah. Honestly, I just cut out 20 triangles for making Scout neck kerchiefs!
Love your pouch! That AMH Linen is so beautiful. I'm working on making some slab blocks for Southern Alberta right now. Thanks for the chance to win.
A lovely pouch! They always look too fiddly for me, so haven't tried one! This week I am straight line quilting a quilt with some FMQ mixed in and trying to get another Mario block completed - why I thought sewing 324 small (1.5") squares together to make 1 block was good idea I will never know!
Oooh so cute! i have yet to try my hand at cute little bags because (lets face it) zippers and closures bamboozle me. but you inspire me to consider trying one day... maybe.
right now i have a few projects on the go, but they have mostly been collecting dust since we moved. i still have my Granny square quilt, and a large pixilated patchwork heart quilt plus a few baby quilts for friends.
Sarah.
ps. i think i missed the deadline, but thats ok :)
